Audrey Scott
Born
in New Toronto, Audrey grew up
as Audrey Grace Feasel during
the World War II era. Her
parents operated the
“Mountain Pharmacy”
Hamilton, Ontario, a
drop-in/soda fountain/post
office/medical clinic - all in
one. The family moved to Galt,
Ontario, then to British
Columbia at the time she left
home for the University of
Toronto.
Upon
graduating from her Fine Art
course, Audrey made a cultural
tour of Europe and took
post-graduate testamur,
graduating from Emmanuel
College, Toronto. Part of her
studies took place in U.B.C.
where she met her husband,
Alan Scott. Marriage and
fourteen children followed –
many of them adopted. Alan
died in 1997.
For
many years, Audrey worked as
an amateur architectural
historian. She had previously
performed church and social
work, as well as a stint as a
librarian. At present, she is
engaged in bringing some of
her “forgotten” books to
life.
Two
of Audrey's books have been
published with the assistance
of Petnyaa Self-Publishing
