Missed Conceptions

Missedconceptions
pits sexuality against murder.
In
the late 1990’s, Lissa, who
has always orchestrated her
life, can’t conceive the baby
she so desperately wants. For
years this ex-model has enjoyed
a full sex life without becoming
pregnant; she has eluded the
‘reproductive piper.’ When
she finally decides to conceive
her ‘trophy baby,’ a normal
pregnancy doesn’t happen. On
different continents, two women
have an opposite problem:
unplanned, and very unwanted
pregnancies. Schooling, aging
versus raging hormones,
forbidden sexual attraction and
cultural taboos affect their
sexual decision-making.
When
Lissa’s fertility specialist
is suddenly murdered, she
becomes a suspect. Murder
complicates the normal battle
between the sexes as they try to
produce (or not produce!) a
perfect baby. The police's attempt
to find the killer is hampered
by their discomfort with
reproductive issues. Blindly,
they miss that this is a crime
of passion.
Who
killed the good ‘doc?’ And
much more important, ‘why?’
The surprise ending will make
you question what is right and
what is wrong.
