Singular
Stories and Terse Verse
by
Audrey
Scott
Singular Stories and Terse Verse is a Magellan of a collection. Audrey Scott, who wrote most of the stories and verse, was at one time in England as a sojourning young person. She actually worked for a theatrical costumier, hence the story 'Chimney Pot Challenge.' There may be an authentic ring to the characters in this story… they are authentic.
The stories for children, 'Hole-A-Day Harry' and 'A Boy Named Red,' as well as 'The Magic Hat' are also taken from her experience. With a natural and adoptive family of fourteen children, there are many stories to draw on… many of them narrative, others in story form. |
